How to access files in the web version of Google Drive: (Chrome is the recommended internet browser)
1.Log into Google with your firstname.lastname@example.org account and click on the “Apps” icon at the top of the screen. Choose “Drive” and mouse over the different icons to familiarize yourself with it.
a. Pros: You can create new files (documents, spreadsheets, presentations, etc), share them with other people, and everyone can modify them simultaneously. It will also save your changes automatically so your work doesn’t get lost!
b. Cons: Non-Google files, like Microsoft Word and PowerPoint, open in a Preview mode. You cannot modify those files in the web version of Google Drive and instead need to download them to your computer, then save them back to Drive. The web version is most beneficial if you intend to use Google Docs more than Microsoft Office.
How to Download Google Drive to Your Macbook
