Digital Social Studies Resources

StoryMap (click to navigate to the website)

StoryMapJS is a free tool to help you tell stories on the web that highlight the locations of a series of events. It can be scaled large or small- the map will expand as you add additional sites and stories- and digital citizenship is built into the design. Every piece of media that a student adds to the map is encouraged to be cited and captioned!

MyHistro
(click to navigate to the site)

MyHistro was designed on the same foundation of combining maps and timelines as of the one-of-a-kind history site Histrodamus. Unlike Histrodamus, though, you can create your own storymaps and share them with others in MyHistro.

Timeline (click to navigate to the website)

This interactive uses GoogleSheets to input data into an interactive timeline. Use the given template to make getting started easier!
